From a Hobby to a Brand: My Story
It all started during the pandemic, when I came across an amigurumi kit in a store. At the time, I simply wanted to pick up a new hobby — but over time, crocheting became my true passion.
At first, I crocheted toys for the people I love and gave them as gifts. Their joy motivated me more than anything. Back then, I was working as an accountant in Turkey, and crocheting was something I did in my spare time. But life took me in a completely different direction.
After moving abroad, I began dedicating more time to this craft — learning new techniques, pushing my skills, and growing. I soon realized I didn’t want to stop at toys. I started crocheting keychains and accessories: small, elegant, and practical designs that made me genuinely happy to create. I also began designing handmade notebooks.
Eventually, I decided to share all of this with the world — and EgaHobby was born on Etsy. Looking back, I never could have imagined that a small kit from a store would bring me here. But the best journeys often start exactly like that.
Today, I do what I love — and I hope every handmade piece I create brings a little something special into your life. And this is only the beginning.
